Bruce Walker and Adam Rubenstein were an absolute pleasure to have as my real estate agents. What a dedicated, responsive, hardworking team! As a first-time homeowner, Bruce and Adam showed me the ropes and made the experience a pleasant one. Both spend countless hours searching for the right property, and I’m happy to say, we found the perfect home! I hope to work with Bruce and Adam again.

I used Bruce Walker as my realtor to purchase an apartment building in the Silverlake neighborhood of Los Angeles. Even though there were multiple offers on the property, Bruce was able to make mine the accepted one and I purchased the apartment. Years later, when I decided to sell the building, I went with Bruce again.  He was able to get me a higher price that I was anticipating. The entire process- buying and selling- went very smoothly and he was wonderful to work with. With his professionalism, experience and expertise, Bruce is the one I trust when it comes to real estate.

Joseph Byrne

Hi Bruce.

I wanted to write you a note to personally thank you for all of your help with selling our home. You were incredibly professional and responsive throughout the process and are obviously very expert in your field.  You were right on in your analysis of how things might play out and we ended up with a great result.  You also have a great demeanor and were able to stay cool and calm as the process proceeded, even if we always did not. We will recommend you to others for sure.  Thanks again Bruce and please feel free to use us as a reference.

Matt and Carina Miller

Just wanted to drop you a note to thank you for handling the sale of our home so professionally. From the very first meeting, we could tell that we were in excellent hands. Your calm nature, eye for staging, enthusiasm and negotiating skills made this normally very stressful process, a terrific experience. We would use you again in a heartbeat and recommend others to do the same.

Christine & Aron Woertink

Dear Bruce,

Aron and I can hardly express our gratitude for your kindness, guidance and professionalism.  We are still pinching ourselves that it all really happened and are so grateful we were able to work with you.  Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Bruce was referred to us by a friend with the praise that “Bruce will make it easy.” That’s exactly what we needed and that’s exactly what we got with Bruce.

He told us what our home needed in order to get it ready for the market.  Then he found us every single contractor to do the work.  When his recommended painter was going to take too long (because he didn’t have a crew and we a big job), he found us another awesome lead-certified painter.  Bruce was there for every meeting with the contractors.  We went on a 2-week vacation while all the work was being done to our home and Bruce basically acted as the job supervisor, stopping by daily to direct the contractors and calling us with updates.  When we got home, our house was beautiful and on the market.  It was that easy.

Bruce is such a friendly, easy going guy but several realtors we met said he was a tough negotiator.  We sold in one week in a down market for asking price despite having been first low-balled.  We got all the terms we asked for for including a 2-month lease back.

We loved and trusted Bruce so much we didn’t want to part with him.  So we hired him as our buyer’s agent too.  He helped us find a short-term rental that turned into a long term. It took us a year to find the right home.  Bruce stuck with us the entire time and ended up negotiating a deal on an off-market property we fell in love with.

Bruce really held our hand throughout the whole experience and it was simply easy.  He takes his time with you. He’s ultra patient.  He’s honest.  He’s got integrity.  We hold Bruce in high regard and recommend him without hesitation.

Hi Bruce,

I want to thank you for all your hard work, diligence and patience in selling our home.  We wish you the best.

Matt Keeslar

Dear Bruce,
Last May, it struck me that we were running out of money. You were closing on our neighbors’ house, and the idea coalesced that this might be the time to sell. I approached you on the street and confided that if I didn’t find a job soon, I would need your help. You calmed me with your confidence and assured me you could sell our home. I was an out of work actor with a family to support, but I always knew you were the salesman who could bail us out if times got tough.
A few months later, I still had not secured a paying job. I had to admit that my time in Los Angeles had ended. I called you, and you came over the next day. You told us what we needed to do to “space up” the house for sale. My wife and I went to work removing clutter, painting rooms, and cleaning grout. The results amazed us. Thanks to your advice, we created a house that would sell.
Every question we asked, you answered. You convinced us that we would get a fair price for the house, even in the worst market.

You are the quintessential salesman, and your natural ease helped me through one of the most uncertain periods of my life. Your availability gave me the impression that we were your only clients even though I knew you had many others. You would stop at eight in the evening, show up at every important open house, and track down any buyer who shoed the slightest interest. My son will never forget your djembe playing in our living room. Where did you find the energy?

You helped us set a realistic price, and the house sold the day before my birthday. I couldn’t have asked for a more desirable present. Working with you was a pleasure from start to finish, and I know we could not have found a better realtor. I would recommend you to anyone who wishes to sell a house. I am eternally grateful for your diligence and hard work. You rescued us from an unsure time. Thank you so much.

Before hiring Bruce Walker, we had planned to interview – with trepidation – a number of Realtors. Our first experience with Realtors fifteen years earlier when we bought our home had been miserable and we considered them a necessary evil. We thought that was the way it had to be – a dodgy business all around.

The housing market was already sliding when we decided to list our home in the Hollywood Hills. Our neighbors’ houses had been sitting for months, giant empty albatrosses, unable to move and costing their owners plenty. Yet, we could not wait for the real estate market to correct itself; our son was expected a prep school on the east coast in just two short months. We fully expected to take a bath on our house and be unhappy throughout the experience.

We’ve never been so wrong on all counts.

Bruce entered our life for the initial interview and was very low key. The interview segued into an initial input session, and an hour and a half later, he finally departed with our listing. We never even got to Realtor number 2, let alone numbers 3 and beyond. There was just something about Bruce we liked.

Sometimes when I think of Bruce, I think of that giant nursemaid dog in the Disney version of Peter Pan. He nudged us to do the right thing and meet his expectations for excellence because he knew that’s what it would take to sell our house in this down marketplace. He had us make little changes in our home’s presentation; little changes that would have big payoffs. He knew how to motivate us to get things done in such an easygoing manner that we barely knew we were being “handled.”

The upshot – we sold our home in less than a week for $26,000 over asking. On the first day it showed to a caravan of realtors, we received two offers. I blame this entirely on Bruce, as the house was priced right, immaculately presented with top-of-the-line collateral materials and support.

Even though our home was the biggest item my husband and I had ever owned, and we had every right to be nervous, Bruce kept our two-month relationship lighthearted and straightforward. When I started freaking out over the small stuff, Bruce reeled me in with his calm voice of experience. He’s been in the business a long time and can really see the big picture.

The bad news is that, because the house sold so quickly, Bruce Walker was but a blip in our lives. He was so professional, but he was also so much fun. We miss him a lot. You will, too!

Efren Gonzalez & John W. Kavanaugh

We want to take this opportunity to publicly acknowledge the great partnership we have had with Bruce Walker.

In a rather difficult time in the real estate market, Bruce was able to maneuver our situation beautifully.  With his knowledge of the area and his relationships with other realtors throughout Los Angeles, he was able to close the deal for our new home while selling our old home within days – for full asking price!  We always had complete confidence and trust in him and he made the whole potentially stressful experience of buying and selling real estate, smooth and stress free. We could not have asked for a more sensitive, responsive or professional realtor to handle one of the biggest business transactions we will ever make.

We highly and enthusiastically recommend Bruce Walker and we will certainly use his services again in the future.

Traci and Paul Azer

I am happy to write a letter on behalf of Bruce Walker. We closed escrow on our home yesterday and have been very pleased with the work Bruce did on our behalf to help us through the journey of selling our home in a very rough housing market.

We put our home on the market right around the time the stock market crashed and home prices plummeted. We had hired a Realtor who was a supposed expert in our neighborhood and she was used to her phone ringing without having to hustle up business. After 6 months and no luck renting or selling, we hired Bruce. We immediately had people looking at the house. Bruce had weekly open houses and spent a great deal of money marketing our home through newspaper and magazine advertising. We were amazed at how much time Bruce put in to trying to get people to see the house.

When we finally did get an offer, Bruce ended up representing both parties, which can be complicated. Bruce was very diplomatic and handled being in the middle of a tense escrow very well. The buyers were nervous buying a very large, older home after living in a town house but Bruce walked them through the whole process and shielded us from a lot of the stress and anxiety.

We both highly recommend Bruce and would use him again in a heart beat.

Peter Hagist

Dear future client,

I hired Bruce Walker to list my home for sale because I had seen his presence in my neighborhood over the years. When we first met, and he presented his market analysis, I was taken aback by the large volume of homes he had been involved in, not only in my neighborhood, not only on my block, but my actual house! It turns out he had been involved in a few transactions with 564 Irving Blvd. before I moved in.

I asked Bruce to list my house, and from the beginning, I felt he did a great job marketing the house getting buyers interested.

Bruce sold my house in an extremely difficult market, two days before the new-year. I was thoroughly impressed with the results of the sale, and his ability to get the transaction complete. I am a real estate investor who knows from experience how important it is to have the best representation. That is what I was hoping for with Bruce, but instead, I got much more. Watching him handle potential buyers and their agents, and seeing first-hand how hard he works, was an inspiration for my own career as a real estate professional.

I highly recommend hiring Bruce Walker to either list your home, or represent you as a buyer. He is truly dedicated to what he does, and you will not be disappointed. You can count on that.

Adam Tschorn & Booth Moore

We moved in just under three weeks ago and I can honestly say–without the slightest hint of hyperbole–that you have truly helped make our dream come true!

As important to us as your professionalism and knowledge of the market was the speed at which you helped us locate exactly what we were looking for in a house….

Gene Liu & Edna Ma

“Bruce’s very astute read of the situation saved us from being caught in multiple offers by a few hours, thus saving significant time and countless thousands of dollars.”

Kristine & Paul Korver

“Bruce’s finesse and experience “not just in the real estate business but in that particular neighborhood” was crucial. He knew the comps inside and out and knew the particular market of the Larchmont/Windsor Square like the back of his hand.

Bruce was deliberate and thoughtful about the process, and had strong opinions about how to price our house to get to where we needed to close the deal. We followed Bruce’s advice to a “T”.

Again, once we accepted the offer, through the close of escrow, the transaction closed without a hitch.

Bruce’s skill, experience, thorough knowledge of the market, and strong intuition on deals and pricing, simply cannot be matched.

He is highly respected in the community, and especially among his peers. He has certainly won our loyalty.”

Jan Slaby

“Bruce has a gentle manner, combined with a savvy perspective on buying and selling homes. I find that combination rare in today’s business world, and I really like it.”

Elin Motherhead

“Bruce let us know that it was a hot market and he discussed pricing realistically to get the most offers in a short amount of time. He made a few suggestions as to what to do with some furniture and then went on to print flyers, have broker previews, open houses and put ads in all the local papers. We had 3 very good offers in 10 days.”

Peter Warner

“I would like to take this time to write a letter to praise Bruce Walker for his exceptional help regarding the purchase of our home at 591 N. Irving Blvd, and then for its eventual rental and sale. In all situations, his efforts and attention (along with his assistant Adam Rubenstein) were outstanding.”

David and Lauren Squier

“Bruce Walker delivers results. Due to a relocation we wanted the sale of our house to be quick and painless. We had multiple offers the first week our house was on the market, and Bruce was key to making that happen.”

Mike Chitjian
